Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, School of Theological Studies
Position Description
Successful candidates will have a proven record of ministry among youth with demonstrated competence in teaching a wide range of courses in youth and/or pastoral ministries. Can-didates should be willing to function in a mentoring role for students in the University's Youth Ministries Leadership program and should help shape the spiritual life of the campus community.
Qualifications
- Terminal degree with significant youth ministry and teaching experience preferred; candidates with a master's degree or in a master's degree program with teaching experience and/or those at the dissertation stage in doctoral programs considered. Any applicant without a terminal degree must be willing to enter a doctoral program in the desired field (with professional development assistance from the University).
- Ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God or the willingness/ability to procure credentials as soon as possible.
- Desire to work with undergraduate students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Willingness to model the core values and stated outcomes of Bethany University.
- Computer skills applicable to the development of instructional systems.
- Ability to:
- Meet all the employment requirements of full-time faculty at Bethany University.
- Follow through with tasks in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in the development of an academic program based on planning and assessment.
- Work in a collegial manner with faculty in the School of Theological Studies and with other faculty in the University.
Essential Responsibilities
- Teaching 24 units per year (or their equivalent) in the School of Theological Studies, with emphasis in Youth Ministries.
- Revising/developing curriculum to advance the Youth Ministries Leadership program.
- Advising students concerning program requirements and professional development.
- Assisting in the recruitment and retention of students for the School of Theological Studies.
- Interfacing with the University through committee assignments and other duties.
- Participating in the spiritual life of the University through chapel attendance and other activities.

Salary / Compensation
Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience (in keeping with the faculty salary grid of the University). Compensation includes a generous benefits plan.
