Dr. Koo Yun Speaks at the Science and Theology Conference in Berkeley
Dr. Koo Yun was a plenary speaker and an emissary for Bethany University’s School of Theological Studies at the Science and Theology Conference held in Berkeley, California, on February 8, 2008. The one day conference was hosted by the Graduate Theological Union’s Center for Theology and Natural Sciences, and the Korean Institute for Advanced Theological Studies. Dr. Yun spoke on “The Ontology of Soul in View of Recent Stem Cell Controversies.” Also, Dr. Yun will present a critical paper on the stem-cell controversy at Duke University on March 14, 2008. As Professor of Theology at Bethany, Dr. Yun actively engages in research, writing, and conference presentations on leading issues facing Pentecostal and Evangelical scholarship.
Dr. Dan Albrecht Presents at Yale Divinity School
Dr. Dan Albrecht participated as one of fourteen renowned speakers at the worship conference, “The Spirit in Worship and Worship in the Spirit,” hosted by the Yale Divinity School’s Institute of Sacred Music, on February 21-23, 2008. Dr. Albrecht’s address, “In the Spirit – Transmuting Worship Patterns, Attitudes and Convictions Pentecostally,” explored an understanding of worship in the Spirit from a Pentecostal perspective. As Professor of Spirituality and Christian History, Dr. Albrecht’s current scholarly work focuses on the intersection of human development and experience, and spiritual experience and development. His most recent publications include “Rites in the Spirit: A Ritual Approach to Pentecostal/Charismatic Spirituality.” Michael Reynolds and Bridget Gallup address the Dean’s List Honorees on February 15 during Homecoming weekend.
