Seminars and Workshops


 

Each term free seminars and workshops are offered on campus. Topics include resume writing and interviewing, safety and self-defense, inter-cultural awareness, and life transitions. Please contact the Director of Educational Support Services, Cynthia FitzGerald at x3946 for answers to questions or referrals for services. Locations TBA

  • Stretching Vocationally, Tuesday, 8/26/08, 2:30pm (New Student Orientation Seminar, which includes the College Student Inventory)
  • International Students Gathering: All students are welcome at Mrs. Fitz's house on Tabor Drive as we build community with and learn from our International Students.
  • "Transition Talk": Wednesday, September 3rd in the Wellness Center, 9pm.  Discuss the move to campus - whether your first year or your last, it's always an adjustment!
  • "Stress and Health Talk": Wednesday, October 1st in the Wellness Center, 9pm.  Hear how they're connected and what you can do to improve your health and decrease and manage stress.
  • "Resume and Grad School Talk" - Wednesday, November 5th in the Wellness Center, 9pm.  Get a second look at your resume and have your questions answered as you look to the next step in your academic/vocational career.
  • University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law - Representative on campus Wednesday, November 5th, from 11am-1pm in the Cafe.
  • Assessing Career Fits with Personal Strengths, February, TBA, in the Wellness Center.
  • Interviewing Well for Jobs, April, TBA, in the Wellness Center.
