Senior Recital: The Three Sopranos.
Three music majors gave their final senior recital to an enthusiastic audience of 200. The concert in Craig Chapel featured (pictured lft. to rt.) Stephanie Allen, Lauren Hord and Stephanie Townsend in music ranging from songs by Monteverdi to show tunes from Broadway musicals. They not only performed solo but also combined for duets and trios. Piano accompaniment was provided by music faculty Jan Carlton and staff accompanist Lavinia Livingston.

Spring Concert: Friday, April 25, 7:30PM at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Concert Choir will present Vivaldi's "Gloria" with the Cabrillo Orchestra and selected choral works. The handbell ensemble will ring and selected soloists will also be featured. |

Spring Festival of Sacred Music: The BU Concert Choir performed "Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs" with other bay area choirs on April 6, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, San Jose. The clinician for the concert was impressed with the preparation of the choir which later received several invitations from other churches involved in the performance to make an appearance at their church next fall. Members of the choir found the experience to be hard work but worth the effort after a great concert. |

Senior recital: Stanzy Childs performed to an audience of about 100 on April 12 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Aptos. Also participating were Nic Bartsch, piano and Christian Pursell, baritone. Laevinia Livingston was the accompanist for Ms. Childs. Musical selections ranged from Schubert to Spamalot, opera to Hoagy Carmichael. Languages included English, Italian, German and French. Along with beautiful singing, Ms. Childs conveyed an extremely detailed and engaging sense of the text and emotions of the music. |

Senior Recital: Soprano Rebecca Pfeiffer presented her final recital in the magnificent venue of Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz on Saturday, April 19. She was accompanied by Laevinia Livingston. Her sensitive performance included music by Bach, Pergolesi, Mozart, Schubert, Faure and Sondheim. |
