The Degree Completion Program in Church Ministries comprises four semesters of courses that are delivered sequentially as follows:
Semester I:
- Ethical Foundations of Leadership
- New Testament Foundations
- Leadership & Oral Comm.
- Old Testament Foundations
- Church History
Semester II:
- Hermeneutics I
- Leadership in Smaller Churches
- Theological Foundations
- Leadership in Larger Churches
- Paul & Spiritual Dev. or Equivalent
Semester III:
- Intro to Leadership Internship
- Hermeneutics II
- Leadership Internship
- Contemporary Spiritualities or Equivalent
- Life & Teachings of Christ or Equivalent
- Leadership Internship
- The Holy Spirit or Equivalent
Semester IV:
- Leadership Internship II
- Pentateuch or Equivalent
- Leadership Internship II
- Introduction to Spiritual Formation or Equivalent
- Pentecostal Doctrine & History or Equivalent
- Leadership Internship II
- A/G Polity & Credentialing
- Issues in World Missions or Equivalent

Degree Competencies
Students who complete the Church Ministries program at Bethany University will be able to:
- Work within the local church in a variety of positions.
- Utilize effective ministry skills which are built upon a sound Biblical foundation.
- Demonstrate personal maturity, growth and development.
- Satisfy the educational requirements for credentialing with the Assemblies of God.
