Business Administration - a high calling!
When someone asks how majoring in business equip one to serve God, the answer is might surprise you! As a Bethany business major summarized her sense of calling:
"Bethany is a community of believers that have been called to his work. Some of are missionaries, some of us are pastors, and even some of us are business majors, but we all have a common focus to serve God." Jami Scicluna
We believe that God equips individuals to serve society by calling some to business and entrepreneurial vocations. While skeptics may question whether or not commercial activity can serve as a legitimate means work or ministry, we believe the marketplace is a primary means by which God provides for people. The market rewards creativity, ingenuity and honesty. It provides opportunities for people to engage in meaningful work and provides the basic needs of life. Yes, the marketplace is a field to which God calls his people to serve!
