Dear Friend,
Great things are happening at Bethany University:
Despite raising the bar, more students made the prestigious Dean's List this year! Our Debate team continues winning, our retention rate is the highest! God has answered our prayers in so many areas!
I praise God for the favor He has shown us, and anticipate His mercies to continue to provide for Bethany University needs in the future.
I am grateful for the privilege to be a part of the good things God has done at Bethany, and for the pleasure of working with you to bless the students, the faculty and staff over the last few years. It is very important that you participate in this Business meeting to help elect the next President and Secretary of the Auxiliary.
More important is your participation in raising needed funds for scholarships. I do not need to tell you about the state of our national and local economy. I understand that many are struggling just to make ends meet. Yet I am inspired and encouraged to keep helping, when I see the needs of our students, and the need of our world for what these Bethany-trained students can offer.
I've also seen churches give out of their need, and received a little extra donation from members I know are living on limited retirement income. I believe we can all do a little more. Helping a Bethany student is a wise investment. Our students will give their lives to serving in the church and in society, repaying our small gift many times over.
I thank all of you who gave a little bit extra this past year. Our $30 annual gift amounts to about 6 cents a day. Surely everyone can afford to give 6 cents towards equipping worthy women for the ministry.
As we wait on the Lord for future direction, we continue to do what we've done for the last 34 years:

Grant scholarships for worthy Bethany women in ministry; -
Supply help for projects on campus, both financially and by giving a helping hand;
flowers at faculty recital and homecoming,
snacks to traveling missions team and
welcome baskets to visitors

Provide survival kits to encourage students to end each semester well.
