The 2005 Stanford Invitational turned out a national class field
in the women's 6000 meter race. Runners as far away as Alaska,
Texas and Minnesota travled to compete in Palo Alto. The competition
came from several NCAA Division I schools as a total of 228 women
finished the challenging 6K course. The distance was a first in
Bethany history. |

Ashley
Watkins finished 154th in her first apperance at Stanford, running
a time of 24:47. Michelle Roth, in her first 6K race ever, placed
205th, with a finish time of 26:15. Both Bruin harriers will be
heading south to the Vanguard Invitational in Costa Mesa on October
8th to compete against NAIA Region II schools that they will surely
be meeting again at the Regional Championships in November. |
