Ladies Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary was founded in 1974 at the request of the Bethany Bible College Board of Trustees. The organization's purpose has been to support Bethany financially, in prayer, student recruitment and in special projects, as well as to promote our school to our community and churches, through our membership. We are wives, mothers, grandmothers and professionals. We are Christian women who choose to make a difference.

Throughout the years the Ladies Auxiliary has provided a home touch for our students through improvement projects of the dorms and lounges. We financed campus improvement projects, such as the breezeway between the Chapel and the Fireside room. During "Dead Week" while students prepare for final exams, we've provided "Survival kits" of fruit, snacks and candy, accompanied by encouraging notes. Lastly, but definitely not least, we have awarded significant scholarships annually, to deserving young women.

Each member's small donations of time and money are pooled into significant contributions to the work of God at Bethany. Bethany University's mission is to provide Biblically centered education anchored in our Pentecostal doctrine, in order to train excellent leaders for the church and society.

We pray that you will consider joining us, whether as individuals, or as a group. We would appreciate greatly your support in any way God leads you:

  • Praying for us and our students,
  • announcing our events in your services,
  • adding Bethany University to your Home Missions list or
  • any donation you could make towards our scholarships.

We look forward to your fellowship at our spring or fall lunch event. May God bless your church and ministry.

In the Lord's Service on behalf of the Bethany students and community,

Olympia Rossi,

October 10, 2007

Dear sister in Christ and friend of Bethany University,

Greetings! on behalf of the Bethany community, the president and students, I thank you for your faithful financial and prayer support of our ministry. May God bless you and repay you richly!

It’s a new semester, a new academic year and many new students at Bethany. There is great enthusiasm on campus once again! There have been many new, exciting things going on over the summer: Swanson Hall has undergone extensive renovation with all the windows replaced, refurbished halls with crown molding, new lighting and fresh paint. It looks like a new building! The theatre has also been renovated, with a new stage, fresh paint and new seats. Almost all of these good changes are due to the generous donations of many people and organizations.

We’re so grateful to God for each of our volunteers and donors, and so excited for you to see what the Lord has done!

We’re so grateful to God for each of our volunteers and donors, and so excited for you to see what the Lord has done!

On Saturday November 3, at 1pm we will hold our annual fundraising lunch and auction. Each year we get more and better items for you to bid on. As always, we will have wonderful music, fellowship, an inspiring speaker, door prizes and of course a great lunch!   Please come and bring a friend!

This year,  we were able to give towards a badly needed new mascot costume, a one-time gift to LaDawn Rance (’06), newly appointed missionary, and a new study lounge in the men’s dorm. The Ladies Auxiliary relies completely on the faithful giving of our members to empower us in providing scholarships to deserving women, Survival kits to all students during Finals week, as well as giving to meet various needs on campus.

This spring we again provided Survival kits to 320 on-campus students. The Resident Directors, RAs and students send you their gratitude and appreciation for those goody bags. It is your generous regular contributions that make it possible for us to bless our students each year.

There is no greater satisfaction than to know we had a part in the progress our young people make over the years. Our small contributions were pooled into significant sums that helped many young women achieve their goals while at Bethany, and beyond. I’ve been praying for $6.000 to come in for scholarships. Sadly, we are still short of this goal, but we’ve been pushed by faith to offer 5 scholarships in the coming year. Won’t you help us reach out to these deserving students? We must continue to do our part to support the mission of Bethany to train leaders for the church and society.

I hope you’ll join us on Saturday November 3, at 1pm in the Café.  Cost is $15.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO COME, we will appreciate greatly if you SEND YOUR ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION (dues).

There is no greater satisfaction than to see the progress our young people make over the years, and to know we were used of God to help their progress. Former scholarship recipient Davita Freeman is now serving the Lord in China, while Kristine (Ballard) Powell has moved to Colorado Springs with her husband J.B., where she will be teaching. Our small Contributions were pooled into significant sums that helped these young women achieve their goals at Bethany.
