Our Vision "Bethany 2012" calls for the following 25 goals to the year 2012:
- Institutional debt ratio reduction by a minimum of 50%.
- Total endowment for scholarships increased to $5 million.
- Construction and inauguration of one new state-of-the-art residence hall, fully furnished, and fully funded at a cost of $6.5 million.
- Renovation of the Craig Memorial Chapel and its surroundings.
- Renewed sense of harmony and partnership, with all constituents and with God.
- Increase in enrollment by a total of 1700 students: ~800 undergraduate students, ~500 non-traditional students, and, ~400 graduate students.
- Complete funding and modernization of the University's information and technology systems.
- A multi-purpose performance/event/theater facility, on campus, accommodating a range of ceremonies and presentations.
- Remodeling and equipping of the Science Laboratory.
- Completion of the state-of-the-art Redwood Bowl, for events such as marriage retreats, youth camps, professional lecture series, seminars, and commonly scheduled instruction.
- Remodeling of the interior and exterior of the Dining Commons.
- Completion and inauguration of the new Athletic Field.
- Improved parking across the campus, with well-maintained landscaping.
- Increase in faculty salaries commensurate with their educational backgrounds.
- Funded faculty development programs at par, and/or in most cases exceeding those of our sister A/G colleges and universities.
- New and/or improved academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional levels.
- Strengthening of our library collection and greater access to worldwide information through technological improvements.
- Bethany University will convincingly show the way as a leader worthy of emulation by institutions of higher education.
- The community of Scotts Valley and the surrounding areas will appreciate Bethany University and see it as a valuable partner worthy of favor and support.
- All graduates of Bethany University will be held in highest esteem by their employers because it is obvious that they have been academically and spiritually prepared with total quality and excellence, and endued with purpose and passion.
- Residence Life will be marked by God-honoring, biblical, community living.
- Student Life will be characterized by consistent, fair, and redemptive policies and procedures.
- Intercollegiate Athletics will be marked by the Christ-centered development of student athletes.
- Enrollment management will be characterized by sound implementation of policy and procedures that will insure excellence in the Offices of Financial Aid, Recruitment and Retention.
- As part of their master plan, all administrative areas will show how their own quarters achieve the realization of the University's mission statement:
The mission of Bethany University is to provide biblically-centered education, anchored in Pentecostal doctrine, preparing excellently trained leaders for the Church and Society.
