FAQs
What is a FAFSA?
FAFSA or Free Application for Federal Student Aid is the application that determines if you are eligible for Financial Aid.
Do I need to fill out a FAFSA?
Only if you want to be eligible for any federal, state grants and loan. Otherwise you would only receive institutional monies. We recommend all students fill one out.

What is the latest I can do my FAFSA?
There is no "late" FAFSA, but there is a priority deadline that you must meet in order to be considered for certain California Grants. The priority deadline for California is March 2, 2008, applying after this date is perfectly okay.
What if I have not done my taxes yet, can I do my FAFSA?
Absolutely! You can estimate you earnings or base them off the previous year. Once you have done your taxes you return to the FAFSA website to enter the correct information.
When do I get an award letter from financial aid?
There are a few steps that need to be completed before we can issue an award letter. First you need to contact admissions to fill out the necessary applications, then you need to be accepted. Do your FAFSA, once we receive that and all the prior steps are completed we can send out an award letter.
Will financial aid contact me if they need more information?
Yes. Financial aid will contact you if we need more information. Also when you get your award letter there will be some forms that will need to be returned to us.
