Bethany University New Students - Financial Aid
- Apply for a PIN from the U.S. Department of Education at www.pin.ed.gov.
Parents of Dependent Students must also apply for a PIN. The PIN allows you to sign the FAFSA electronically.
- Once you've received your PIN, complete your FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Include Bethany University's school code: 001121. Bethany University should receive your FAFSA results within one week of your online application. If you do not have access to the internet you may request a paper FAFSA from Financial Aid. Bethany University Financial Aid may be reached at: (831) 438-3800 ext. 3901 (allow 3-4 weeks for FAFSA applications to be received in the Financial Aid Office, once the FAFSA is mailed).
- You should receive your award letter within 2 to 3 weeks of your completed financial aid file (dependent on all financial aid documents being complete).
- If applying for student loans, complete your Master Promissory Note (MPN) online with the lender of your choice.
- Complete Entrance Loan Counseling at www.edfund.org; click the EDTE$T icon in the upper right corner and follow the directions for the Entrance Test.
- Bethany University begins disbursing financial aid to the Student Accounts Office after the last day to add courses each term (generally two weeks after the start of the term).
